Todd Boyes, son of 78-year old Robert Boyes who is accused of murder, faces two-and-a-half years in prison, after being convicted of seven felony counts, including arson, grand theft and insurance fraud. The 29-year old Boyes from Heath pleaded not guilty and was sentenced Monday in Licking County Common Pleas Court. He is currently serving a one year sentence on an unrelated conviction. Last year, Boyes stole a truck that belonged to former Heath police officer David Kendall. Investigators later discovered that Boyes stripped the parts and burned the truck as part of a false insurance claim. They also found that Boyes was involved with thefts of other vehicles. Boyes' father, Robert Boyes of Warsaw, also faces charges to the truck burning. He is also accused of killing 29-year old Benjamin Thompson on June 17th near Alexandria. Thompson was a state witness in a Coshocton arson case involving Robert and Todd Boyes.
