A Perry county stepmother is now facing charges in the death of a baby six years ago. You may recall a report on Whiz news about 4-year-old Brandi Marie Conley who allegedly fell down a flight of stairs on December 18th 1996. In May of this year Perry county prosecutor Joe Flautt decided to re-examine the case. The final autopsy report ruled Conley's death a homicide and a case of child abuse...but no charges were ever filed. Well, that has changed. A Perry county grand jury has indicted Donna Conley, the child's stepmother. Conley faces involuntary manslaughter and child endangering charges. Perry county sheriff William Barker says no other information on the case will be released at this time.
