On New Years Eve the Zanesville Fire Department received a call about a house on fire at 545 Dryden Road, After they arrived another call was made by neighbors only two blocks away who reported a fire at 581 Brighton Blvd. This is the second time for both of the structures to catch flame within two years. Dave Lacy, Acting Fire Chief says their are many dangers that come along with fires including, possibility of the fire spreading to other homes, smoke which can infiltrate the other houses, and the fact that fire fighters or anyone in contact of the flames can be seriously hurt. Since the house on Brighton Blvd. is unsafe Chief Lacy has ordered an emergency demolition. An award of 5,000 dollars will be given to anyone who knows the person or persons responsible for these fires.
