The Ohio School Boards Association warns that schools would be devastated by a state funding cut that Govenor Taft is guaranteeing if lawmakers reject proposed tax increases. The Association says schools would be forced to lay off bus drivers, maintenance workers and other employees. Taft says he will cut two-and-a-half percent from school and university budgets this year if legislators don't approve the alcohol and cigarette tax increases he proposed to help fill a 720 million dollar budget defict.
