The state has executed a man convicted of stabbing and strangling an 18-year-old college student after he lured her to a bogus job interview. Officials at the southern Ohio Correctional Facility say 47-year-old Richard Fox was pronounced dead at 10:13 a-m. He was given a lethal injection. Fox is the sixth person executed in Ohio since the state restored the death penalty in 1999. Fox was convicted of aggravated murder and kidnapping in the 1989 death of Leslie Keckler of Bowling Green. Fox confessed to the crime. He declined to make a final statement, answering “no, sir” when the warden asked Fox if he had anything to say.
