Two Circleville men have been arrested in the the slaying of an 85-year-old woman in Hocking County in 2001. Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North says 30-year-old Daniel Spencer faces seven charges, including aggravated murder. 31-year-old Troy Estep is charged with complicity to aggravated robbery and complicity to aggravated burglary. Estep was a grandson of the victim, Wretha Poling of Laurelville. The Sheriff says Spencer beat and robbed Poling at her home, then shot her once in the head while Estep remained in a vehicle outside. Both men had been questioned after the slaying, but no arrests were made until the Sheriff says Estep admitted his involvement.
