Muskingum County republicans held their annual dinner Thursday night. Ohio’s former Attorney General Betty Montgomery was the featured speaker. She’s now Auditor. Since taking her new position at the start of the year Montgomery says she’s created a new unit at the office to help local officials better understand Ohio’s sunshine laws. Laws that keep public meetings open to the press. Montgomery sys she is also reorganizing her office to make it more efficient, which she says is important due to Ohio’s budget crisis. The event was held at the Knights of Columbus hall in Zanesville.
