To ensure the safety of our troops overseas...the Department of Defense has asked Americans to stop sending unsolicited care packages. These packages can provide a way for dangerous substances or materials to enter into the military system. However, the American Red Cross has a program called "Quality of Life" that allows troops to recieve packages from caring U.S. citizens. Those who wish to send a Quality of Life package may pick up a list of desired items and package them for the troops. The Red Cross will then inventory, seal and personally deliver the packages to the post office. All boxes are shipped via the U.S. Postal Office, and take between eight to twelve days for delivery.
