The American Red Cross has suspended the “Quality of Life” program until further notice. However, that won’t stop them from finding ways to support our troops. The program was suspended because an overwhelming eighty-seven tons of items were collected. Now, officials have a new program in place. It is called “Families Helping Families.” They say it’s a great way to continue showing support. Officials are asking community members for financial donations or gift cards from various stores including: Kroger, Big Bear, Wal-Mart and other national chains. Donations can be sent directly to the family support group at 2-174th ADA Family Support Group, 4497 Hawk Drive, McConnelsville, OH 43756. For more information call the American Red Cross at 452-2731.
