This weekend we will be losing an hour of sleep, due to Daylight Savings Time. It is also time to change batteries in your smoke detectors. Fire departments across the state encourage Ohioans to make it a habit to change batteries in their smoke detectors regularly. In conjunction with changing your clocks twice a year, officials say it’s important to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors too. If you are in need of a smoke detector and can’t afford one, officials are encouraging residents to pick up a free detector at the Zanesville Fire Department.
