The state has released the latest jobless figures and once again Morgan County leads the state at 19-percent unemployment. Next in our region is Perry County at 11.6-percent joblessness, then Noble at 9.6 percent, Guernsey at 8.8 percent, Coshocton at 8.4 percent and Muskingum at 8.2 percent. The lowest Jobless rate in our area continues to be Licking County at 6.6 percent. The lowest jobless rate in the state belongs to Hancock County at 3.8 percent. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the rates, from February, are unadjusted, meaning they do not take into account seasonal adjustments in employment.
