A man convicted of a 1985 murder is scheduled for execution tomorrow morning. Lawyers for David Brewer said today they plan to file no more appeals. State Public Defender Greg Meyers said there is no new information to bring to a court’s attention in defense of Brewer. Ohio Governor Bob Taft on Friday rejected Brewer’s request for clemency. The 43-year-old Brewer was convicted of killing 21-year-old Sherry Byrne, the wife of a fraternity brother. Police said the victim was beaten, choked with a necktie and repeatedly stabbed in 1985. Brewer is to be executed by injection tomorrow morning at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.
