A car driving in the wrong direction on the interstate caused a three-vehicle accident and two people were sent to the hospital. According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Amanda Mitchell was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near the Norwich exit. Mitchell’s Toyota Tacoma struck a Chevy Cavalier driven by 20-year-old Lucas Miller of Normalville, Pennsylvania. Mitchell’s car overturned as a result of the impact. Debris from the crash hit a third vehicle, a semi driven by 51-year-old Thomas Deal of Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. Mitchell and Miller were both transported by the Perry Emergency Squad to Good Samaritan Hospital. The driver of the semi was not injured. A citation has not yet been issued.
