The Muskingum County Sheriff’s office is investigating an armed robbery in New Concord. Sergeant Dan Marks says it happened Sunday night at the Shegog I-G-A at 168 West Main Street. Detectives say a lone gunman entered the store around 10 pm and demanded money. The suspect is described as a male, about 6 feet tall, skinny build and dressed in black. He showed a silver handgun, and made off with an undetermined amount of cash. Several employees were in the store last night, but no injuries were reported. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the incident to call them at 740 452-3637.
