The state has released the latest jobless rates and once again Morgan County leads the state in unemployment at 14.8 percent. These are numbers from April. Next in our area is Perry County at 9.9, Noble County at 8.9 and Guernsey County at 7.5 percent joblessness. Coshocton, Muskingum and Licking Counties are all in the six-percent range. The lowest jobless rate in the state belongs to Holmes County at 3.3 percent. The statewide rate for April was 6.2 percent, unchanged from March. The U.S rate stood at 6.0 percent, up slightly from March.
