Summer is here, and flowers are in bloom. June is National Rose Month. Florists say it’s important to know the history behind some rose colors before you give them as a gift. Red traditionally means love, white stands for purity, and orange symbolizes desire and enthusiasm. Pink stands for appreciation, yellow is for friendship, and a thorn-less rose means you’re someone’s love at first sight. Whatever the color you send, remember to trim the stems of the roses, and petal them periodically. With proper care, roses can live up to one week.
