The Ohio House has approved a bill that would bring the state in line with the U-S Food and Drug Administration regulations regarding the use of the abortion pill R-U-486. The bill would prohibit the use of the pill unless it is prescribed by a doctor. Sponsored by republican representative Tom Brinkman of Cincinnati, the bill exempts from prosecution pregnant women who obtain the bill to end a pregnancy. The bill now goes to the Senate.
