Quite a few people snuck in an evening of music before the weather turned sour. The Zanesville Memorial Band played at Zane’s Landing tonight, featuring a patriotic theme. It was the third of six summer gigs the band has lined up. “This summer we are going to do the Muskingum County bell ceremony on the fifteenth of July. It’s a Tuesday night and it will be held down at the courthouse,” says Janine Bock, guest conductor and band member. The band has been around for over one hundred years. Members come from all over the area and range from school music directors to people who just enjoy playing an instrument.
