Good news for hunters. The fee increase for hunting and fishing licenses that were signed into law when Ohio’s fiscal budget began July first won’t take effect until next March. Many people assumed that the fee increases took effect that day. The Ohio Department of Wildlife recently announced that the four-dollar increases for fishing licenses and deer and turkey hunting licenses won’t start until the 2004 hunting season. The state will also offer reduced prices on deer and turkey hunters 15 years and younger.
