Thousands Left Without Power

Storms rumbled through the area Monday night caused havoc on area power lines. Crews have been working to restore electricity. As of 11 Monday night, American Electric Power says in all, there are 20,175 customers still without power. In Newark, more than 14,000 people are without electricity. In Zanesville, over 2,800 customers are without power. In Cambridge, 118 customers have no service. AEP says crews will be working through the night. The company is not saying when power will be restored. As for Guernsey Muskingum Electric customers, 400 homes in Cannelville area are still without power. Crews will also be working through the night to fix that problem.
