The storms have ravaged through Ohio for the past few days…and as they move eastward, they tend to dissipate. Communities in the western and central portions of the Buckeye State have received substantial storm damage. The City of Newark is not an exception. From the Courthouse’s Square to Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mayor Frank Stare says between 25-30 trees were knocked onto roadways. City and county crews, as well as AEP crews have been working since early Tuesday morning to clear all roadways and restore power to residents. Mayor Stare asks everyone to remain patient with the inconvenience.
