Every Sunday night we bring you one of Muskingum County’s most wanted on the WHIZ news, and so far, you’ve helped put them behind bars. Beginning in April 2002, WHIZ and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s office started broadcasting suspects. Since then, fifty-one out of fifty-nine criminals have been caught thanks to anonymous tips. “That percentage rate, that’s almost eighty-eight percent success rate in this particular project since April 2002. It’s unbelievable and I’d like to think it’s making our community a better place,” said Bob Stephenson, Muskingum County sheriff. He said the tips have proved extremely helpful and he is very proud of the community. Not one person has asked for any type of compensation for the information. Stephenson said they are still working on this week’s suspect, Hearther R. Stevens. She is five feet seven inches tall and weighs one hundred eighty pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information on Stevens, you are asked to call 740-452-3637.
