The F.O.P. Zane Lodge #5 is helping underprivileged kids go back to school in style. It’s their first annual back to school “Shop-With-A-Cop” event. Sixty area children along with local authorities spent their day at Wal-Mart selecting fashionable garments. The youngsters were divided into several groups and headed to the isles for their big shopping spree. The lodge raised six thousand dollars through phone solicitations. Pat Corder, President of the lodge, says without the support of those who donated money this event wouldn’t be possible. He also says helping those in need is a rewarding experience. Corder plans on making the back to school “Shop-With-A-Cop” an annual event.
