School is back in session and that means school buses returning to the roads. The Zanesville police department reminds people to take extra caution around the big yellow buses, especially when children are getting off. Sgt. Bob McDonald said drivers in the opposite direction of buses need to pay attention as well as those following it. McDonald said when you see the flashing lights, just stop. Crosswalks are also another area with more traffic during the morning and afternoon. Law in Ohio gives pedestrians the right of way. McDonald suggests drivers watch their speeds and slow down while driving near schools to avoid a ticket.
