A Weak Tornado Touched Down In Western Ohio

The National Weather Service says a weak tornado touched down in western Ohio’s Dark County and strong winds damaged buildings in Warren and Hamilton Counties in Southwest Ohio. No deaths or serious injuries were reported in the overnight storms. The weather service says the worst of the damage came in the half-hour before 2 a.m. There were isolated gusts of more than 100 miles-per-hour in Warren County. The huge sign marking Paramount’s Kings Island Amusement Park was destroyed, and part of the roof blew off kings Junior High School in Kings Mills. The tornado briefly touched down about 11 o’clock Friday night near Burkettsville in Western Ohio.
