With only two weeks until Christmas, the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is nearing an end, and they are asking for more donations.
Compared to last year at this point, they are sixteen hundred dollars behind. Major Susan Walter for the Salvation Army said, “We’re just hoping that the community will be able to dig a little deeper to help us this Christmas Season.
We would like to help over 900 families from Muskingum, Morgan, and Perry counties.”
Walter said they have had an additional 100 needy families ask the Salvation Army for help with food, clothes and toys this Christmas Season.
Walter says they have even increased their number of ringers this year, but are still falling short.
