The soccer field at the Fieldhouse Family Sports and Wellness Center was over run with dogs for most of the day today.

Over 120 dogs competed in a North American Dog Agility Council trial, where their owners had a chance to show off their training skills.

"Probably at the very least all of these dogs today have close to a year of training, maybe more even for the beginners. Some of these dogs have been training for six, seven, eight years or longer now," said Glenn Rawsky,
Parkersburg Dog Training Club.

The animals had to complete multiple jumps, weave poles and stay on course to be considered the top dog.

"It's time and faults, so what they do is they look at faults first so the dogs that go through without any errors are at the top of that stack and then any dogs that are tied in faults they rank based on time," he said.

The dogs were separated into six different height categories as well as categories for both veteran and junior dogs and handlers.
