Tonight was the big night for some of Zanesville High School's most accomplished alumni.

The first annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner was held at National Road Elementary School and organizers tell us the honors have been a long time coming.

"We're very excited with the turnout this evening, we've got a packed house here at National Road Elementary, and it's just wonderful to see so many faces from the past that are here, to be honored this evening and we're just excited for everybody being here." says Brian Kaufman of Century National Bank.

Tonight's induction was a huge success and we're told that next year's class of inductees are already being considered.

"I think this will continually grow, and tonight is actually the kickoff for coming up with the names for next year and asking the public to submit nomination forms we'll be getting, that will actually be on the Zanesville City Schools website and we'll be distributing them to various groups to get more names of folks but I think this is going to continue to grow and just be phenomenal year after year." Kaufman says.

This year's inductees include Vice Admiral Bert Calland III, Paula Thomas McColl, Ron Apperson, James Burrier, Wayne Carpenter, NBA star Kevin Martin, LPGA star Michelle Redman, Fred Taylor, Donis Toler, Sr., and Dr. and Mrs. J. Dhiel Sulsberger
