A preliminary hearing for a Guernsey County teacher accused of the sexual assault of a student was not held today.

27-year-old William Booze of Cambridge and a Meadowbrook high school teacher is charged with two counts of sexual battery.

Cambridge Municipal Court officials say since Booze was indicted by a grand jury, he did not have to appear for a preliminary hearing today.

The indictment details won’t be available until tomorrow.

Booze is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
