Christmas is a time spent with family, but what if you don't have one. Today I introduce you to Kristin, a child in need of adoption.

Having just turned 15 Kristin once a tomboy now finds that she loves to be a typical teen girl.

She also knows exactly what she wants most of the time. Already having decided on two career paths.

"I want to be a vet or a tattoo artist," said Kristin.

She enjoys listening to rap music, especially Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, but isn't afraid to sing along to Kelly Clarkson and Jordan Sparks. And you're just as likely to find her curled up with a book as out playing sports.

"I like to play dodge ball. At my old school we used to run laps and you should see me run laps, man, I ran like a horse."

Kristin asks nearly everyday for a family to call her own.

"I would like to see myself with both parents or one parent it doesn't matter to me. I would like to have an older sister and kids around my age. I'm willing to have whatever is thrown at me.

"Kristin has a pretty even temper about her," said Mineard. "She doesn't get angry a whole whole lot and sometimes she gets down but she snaps out of it pretty quickly. She's just a very lovable lovable girl."
