The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident on SR 16 in Virginia Twp. in Coshocton County.
The accident happened just before 4:00am on February 7th when 18 year old Marcus Martin of Hilliard, OH and his passenger Micah Phillips, 19 also of Hilliard, OH were traveling eastbound on SR 16, drove left of center and collided with a truck driven by 38 year old Larry Anderson of Warsaw, OH.
Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the nearly head on collision.
Anderson was transported to Grant Medical Center directly from the scene by Med Flight with non life threatening injuries.
Martin was first transported to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital then to Grant Medical Center by med Flight with non life threatening injuries.
It is not known at this time if alcohol played a factor in the accident that took Micah Phillips' life.
Neither Martin or Phillips were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
