Book About Muskingum College Released
There's a book out that details the history of Muskingum College.
The book was put together by a professor and two students. "We really wanted to tell the whole story of the college and to bring to a larger public really wonderful pictures that were sitting in boxes, in dusty boxes in archives and share them with a larger world" said Bill Kerrigan who is a professor at the college.
One of the students Heather Giffen says although fun, it was tough to put the book together "That was a very meticulous task because we had to make sure that all the dates and stories and names of people were right... Had to get as much information as possible"
The idea for the book came from student Ryan Worbs who said he sifted through over a thousand pictures to put the book together.
"It originally started out as just me spending a few hours in the archive each week just to get a rough idea what was in there. There was just a wealth of knowledge that I felt and I think Dr. Kerrigan felt as well, there was enough material there that we ought to share this with the rest of the college community and with people outside of the college community."
The book is available at the College Bookstore, Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com.
