If you're one of millions who suffer from arthritis, joint pain or chronic pain, there might be a new and local solution.

Cathy Ponsi and her husband started Butterfly Magnetic Therapy Jewelry about 5 years ago. Cathy's husband was diagnosed with brain tumors, and after his surgery, he suffered from chronic pain.

"The magnets did help with his pain," she said. "The only problem was it was made with plastic line and it kept snapping. So he decided to design something that would be durable and flexible and we keep our prices lower than what the Internet charges."

Cathy says each cell in your body vibrates with a certain magnetic field and when the cells become diseased or are out of alignment, magnets can help restore the correct vibration.

"Magnetic therapy is good for any type of chronic pain," she said. "I actually wear it for migraines. They're good for healing, fibromyalgia, arthritis, joint pain, anything like that."

The Ponsis make all sorts of jewelry including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and anklets.

Their booth was just one of many at the Card and Collectible Show held at Colony Square Mall this weekend.
