The Wii bowling craze has swept the nation and is helping Big Brother's Big Sisters raise money.

Today senior citizens from across Muskingum County bowled for a good cause and to get some exercise.

"It's something new and interactive," said activity director at genesis extended care and rehab tim johnson. "They can sing but this is stuff they've done in their lives. It keeps up with technology. It's something they can keep up with therapy. This is something they all enjoy."

Bowl for Kids Sake held a pre-bowling event today at the senior center where even if you aren't physically able to bowl, you can with the Wii. In fact the game system is a regular presence in nursing homes around the area.

"They really enjoy it," he said. "In fact we burnt one up already. We had two and we burnt one up using it so much. They really enjoy it."

Today's competition brought about 100 senior citizens from different nursing homes around the area to raise money for Bowl for Kids Sake.
