The main campus of Ohio University is reporting its first confirmed case of the H1N1 Virus.

Assistant Vice President of Safety and Risk Management, David Hopka, says the student, who lives off-campus, went to the Student Health Center on September 22.

He says based on the student's symptoms, the clinician did a quick test for Inluenza A, which tested positive. Because the H1N1 Virus is a sub-type of Influenza A, Hopka says the sample was sent to Lab Corp for further testing.

The official results came back yesterday confirming the student did have the H1N1 Virus.

Hopka says the student has fully recovered.
