A motorcycle accident had traffic on I-70 East in Zanesville down to one lane Thursday afternoon and sent one woman to the hospital.
Authorities say three motorcycles got on I-70 East at the State Street on-ramp when the first motorcycle carrying 64-year-old Greg Folden moved into the inside lane. A semi blew his horn at Folden who then moved back to the outside lane. The second motorcycle carrying 46-year-old Jill Wagerheim struck the back of Folden's motorcycle.
"The rider of the second motorcycle was ejected onto the pavement the second motorcycle ended up down the highway the first motorcycle regained composure and pulled off to the side of the road and called police," says Sergeant Chris Rice.
Wagerheim was not wearing a helmet and was taken by Community Ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital. She was then taken by med flight to Grant Medical Center with a collapsed lung, possible broken ribs and an unknown head injury. She is listed in stable condition.
Sergeant Rice says the crash is still under investigation. Zanesville Police and Fire responded to the accident.
