A Zanesville man charged in connection with a shooting last June appeared in Municipal Court Wednesday morning.

20-year-old Eric Huffman entered a not guilty plea to a charge of negligent homicide.

According to the City Prosecutor's office, Huffman faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if found guilty.

The charge stems from a shooting on Ridge Avenue in June where police say Stacy Tuttle suffered a gun shot wound to the chest.

Tuttle died last Sunday at the Columbus Rehab Center.

A pre-trial hearing for Huffman has been set for November 25th.
