Local businesses are teaming up to support a non profit group and cheer on the Buckeyes at the same time.
This is the 7th week for the Nationwide Tailgate Party. Last year the parties raised $2,500 for Untied Way.
"We have been rotating around to local Nationwide agents with Rittbergers, Risebecks and Goss Party Rental and Pepsi and basically we are just here to support the United Way, we started this idea last year and it was very successful and so we decided to do it again this year," says Scott Boyer.
Nationwide matched the $2,500 made last year, for a combined donation of $5,000. The lunch is donation-based and those in attendence recieve a hot dog or brat, chips, cookie and drink.
"Well you know support the United Way, times are really tough, it hurts everyone and United Way is really important to the area, they do a lot of great things for a lot of people across the county," tells Andy Rittberger as he cooked up the brats.
The last Nationwide Tailgate Party will be next Friday at Rod Smith's Insurance Agency on Maple by Bethesda from 11:30 am til 1:00 pm.
