A Zanesville man was released from the hospital Sunday after a case of road rage gone too far. Wyatt Malaby's wife Gloria says Wyatt and his step daughter, Amy, were driving home from Columbus Tuesday night on I-70 East when they came up behind a white Ford Ranger that was driving slowly.
She says after they passed the car, it attempted to run them off the road. Soon after, Wyatt and Amy pulled into Flying J's in Kirkersville and the Ranger followed them. Wyatt's wife says Wyatt tried to speak with the driver of the Ranger, but as he turned to walk away the driver hit him several times in the head with a tire iron.
Amy called 911 and Wyatt was taken to Grant Medical Center with brain injuries. He is now out of the hospital, but his wife says it may take 2 to 6 months for a full recovery and he has no memory of the incident.
The driver of the white Ford Ranger is described as a white male, 5-foot 9 inches, around 250 pounds with dark brown hair and a goatee. If you have any information call the Licking County Sheriff's office at (740) 670-5555.
