The teen charged in the beating death of a Malta woman pled guilty in Morgan County Court Wednesday.

Prosecutor Mark Howdyshell says 18-year-old Travis Lee Fischer pled guilty to five counts in the June 2nd death of 35-year-old Abi Matthews.

Fischer pled guilty to one count of aggravated murder, rape, aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and arson.

Authorities say Fischer got into a fight with Matthews at her Third Street apartment, killed her, stole her car and lit it on fire.

Howdyshell has recommended Fischer receive a sentence of 30 years to life for the charges.

He will be sentenced November 19th.
