One person is dead and two others are injured after an overnight accident.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on State Route 13 in Trimble.

The Athens Post of the State Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Jason Riley, of Glouster, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his car, went off the left side of the road, and stuck a pole.

33-year-old Stephanie Gaddis, of McConnelsville, died in the crash. Riley and 38-year-old Howard Holcomb, of Glouster, were MedFlighted to OSU Medical Center. Lieutenant J. D. Skinner says both were seriously injured.

The accident remains under investigation but Skinner says speed and alcohol may have led to the crash.
