A juvenile driver is in intensive care at Ohio State University Medical Center after an afternoon accident.
Trooper Todd Henry with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says they're currently not releasing the driver's name.
Henry says the driver was traveling south bound on Old River Road near Gaysport around 4:30 when he went off the left side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. The driver then went back onto the road and went off the right side of the road striking a tree.
The driver had to be removed from the truck with the jaws of life. He was taken to Good Samaritan and life-flighted to OSU where he's currently in the Intensive Care Unit. The driver has multiple fractures, a bruised lung and possibly a ruptured spleen.
The accident remains under investigation.
