An AEP spokesman says power has been restored to residents in New Concord.  The spokesman says there was a problem with a transmission line that fed the substation.  Residents were without power for around 3 hours.

American Electric Power says about 1,400 people are without power in New Concord tonight.

The outage happened around 5:30 p.m.

Crews are on the scene fixing the problem with a substation.

An AEP spokesman says power should be restored to residents by 9:30 p.m.
