Zanesville Chamber's Largest Fundraiser

The annual Festival of Trees Auction is set for Friday morning.  The event kicks off at 9am and around 220 holiday items will be up for bid.
This is the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce's most important and largest fundraiser.

"It's a lot of fun. They get to be creative and they get to show off their creativity and you can see they do a remarkable job with their entries," Tom Poorman President of the Zanesville Muskingum County  Chamber said.

Poorman says the money raised is used throughout the year to operate the community and business development, along with business services that the chamber provides.

Many of the Christmas decorations have an incentive such as gift certificates or services.
Businesses who donate the ornaments use this as an opportunity to promote their product and services.

"I also think that there is a lot of support for economic and business development in this community everyone understands its importance and they support that as well," Poorman said.

The auction kicks off Friday at 9AM and runs until 6:00 pm and can be heard on AM1240 radio and streamed live on our website....whiznews.com.
