High winds have knocked out power to some residents in our area.

American Electric Power is reporting that  614 customers in Muskingum County are without power, in Guernsey County 547 are without service and in Morgan County 503 lost power. A spokeswoman from AEP says crews are making repairs, but high winds that are still blowing through the area are still knocking out power and hampering repairs.

Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative reports 362 customers without service in Muskingum County...60... without power in Guernsey County and 33 without service in Tuscarawas County.  A spokesman from G-M-E-C says all availble crews are working to restore power to all members.  No time was given for when repairs will be finished.

South Central Power also reports outages in the following counties:

Muskingum: 15

 Perry: 233  without service

Noble: 207

The outages in Perry County also forced Northern Local School District to close Wednesday. Stay tuned to WHIZ TV, radio and our website for further updates.
