Several projects around Muskingum County meet approval and will begin to take shape.

Friday the Transportation Improvement Board voted to help fund two bridge projects. The 1929 Trinway Bridge between Dresden and Trinway will be the first replaced. The T.I.D. Board will give $200,000 to the project. More than 3,200 cars cross the bridge daily.

"It's critically important because that bridge is what 80 years old and in bad need of replacement," explained TID Board Member Jerry Nolder. "We're thrilled we can help the county with the project."

The Trinway Bridge is expected to cost $1.3 million. The second bridge is on Moxadarla Road near the Maysville Schools. It's estimated to cost $300,000. The 120ft long bridge is used daily by the school district.

"What we're trying to do is to try and do planning projects that enable the county engineer's office, the City of Zanesville to try and leverage as much money as we can," said Nolder.

Other projects on the list include the turn lane on State Route 93 which is out to bid. Bids for that project will be open January 7th.
