One local church is transforming the classic Nativity scene that many of us use to decorate our homes for Christmas.
Members of the Zanesville Bible Methodist Church are re-enacting that special story that took place on Christmas.
"To bring it to life like we have now, they can actually come experience what it might have been like in Bethlehem, " says Krista Blair, daughter of the church's pastor.
Blair says it's an affair for the whole family to enjoy.
"For 11 months out of the year, it seems like families are constantly passing each other by, but they come here together as a family. They get to stand around a fire, talking about what's going on. They get to experience the animals together. Basically, it's bringing the families together, " says Blair.
Kids were treated with a goodie bag and parents even got an ornament to hang on their Christmas trees.
The live Nativity scene will continue one more night, tomorrow from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
