Four people are sent to the hospital after a three-car accident in Licking County.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on State Route 62 near Utica.

Granville Post Trooper Palmer says a juvenile driver went left of center, striking a truck. A third vehicle, a van driving behind the truck, couldn't stop in time and ran into the first collision.

The juvenile driver was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where Palmer says the patient is in intensive care in critical condition.

The driver of the truck was eventually taken to Grant Medical Center too for non-life threatening injuries. The two passengers in the truck were transported to Licking Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

No one was hurt in the van.

State Route 62 remained closed for three hours while crews cleaned up the wreck.
