Ohio Governor Ted Strickland says he believes in Ohio.
He delivered his State of the State Address in front of the state legislature earlier today.
Strickland spoke of the advancements the Buckeye state is making in energy, education, agriculture, and veterans' benefits.
"But we must not lose sight of the fact that many of our people are hurting right now, " says Strickland.
A major portion of his address was directed toward the recession and what Ohio is doing to move forward.
"You have my word on this: I will move heaven and earth to create jobs in Ohio, and I will not rest until it's done, " says Strickland.
Strickland ended his address with a special message to Ohioans.
"Yes, we have been knocked down. There's no doubt about that, but as the legendary football coach Vince Lombardi used to say, 'It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up.' And Ohio will rise again, " says Strickland.
