Watch Parties

Here in Zanesville, people gathered to watch President Obama's State of the Union Address and discuss his first term in office.

The local chapter of Organizing for America held a watch party at a home on Blue Avenue. Organizing for America member, Dennis Hitchcock, says President Obama has had a rocky first year.

"There has been a lot of issues he has had to address and he's had to address them at his own speed, he has got a long way to go, especially with jobs," tells Hitchcock.

Job creation is one thing Hitchcock hopes President Obama will focus on in his second year.

"There is a lot of people out of work now and a lot of people need to get back to work to keep their homes and keep their family members happy," says Hitchcock.

Organizing for America has around two million members nation-wide and is primarily made up of people who assisted in President Obama's campaign in 2008.
